Huila Pitalito Sugarcane Decaf - Colombia
“The most delicious decaf we’ve ever tasted!”
Michael Butchard - Head Roaster
This beautiful decaf from the Huila region in Colombia is decaffeinated using ethyl acetate derived from locally-grown, fermented sugarcane. Ethyl acetate is a naturally occurring, highly volatile compound (meaning none remains in the finished product!), commonly found in fruit juices and wine, as well as sugarcane. This process yields a decaf coffee with all the delicious flavour and aromatic compounds intact.
Dark chocolate, Brazil nuts, peach, lime.

I purchased this Huila Pitalito Sugarcane Decaf as it is the only one on offer, and it had good reviews from roaster and drinkers. In my opinion your former water decaf Coffee was vastly superior...it left a satisfying coffee creme taste on the palate, which is uncommon in decaf coffee. This latest one is bitter and bland. Certainly not looking forward to my next cup and I have 2 kilos of this bland blend to get through!
Decaf coffee delicious, but can I buy it in coffee pods??
Do you sell them??
Now my decaf of choice!
First time buying decaf grind to make at home.. Did not disappoint. Amazing rich flavour, felt like I was drinking the real thing, and the espresso grind was perfect for my bialetti! Have already ordered two more
This decaf has much deeper flavor than the previous product
